With my previous camera (Sena Prism), I ran it from an external battery pack (50K mAh!) plugged into the camera. It wasn't promised to be waterproof, but it was able to put up with some light rain. I was able to film non-stop for most of the day (1080@30). I'm headed to the Alps for a week on a rented BMW K1600GT. I don't want to swap batteries every 60+ minutes, so I'm bringing my external battery pack, which means there's going to be a cable going into the camera. How water resistant is the SJ7? I understand that the SJ6 wasn't at all well sealed. I'm hoping that the SJ7's better build will at least keep the camera from drowning in a bit of fog.
