    Hello SJCAM,

Currently I have 2 SJ8s adopting FW v1.2.0 which was recently released.
But I have trouble to hear recorded sound from both devices.
    Please check below 3 videos.
They are recorded in normal speaker settings and no change done during the test.

Firstly please set the speaker/Windows/application volume like you can hear Galaxy S3 as normal.
    - Compared to the sound captured by Galaxy S3, both SJ8 show extremly low sound.
    - Comparing 2 SJ8s, one(SJ8 new) shows noticably lower sound.

Seeing SJ7 manual, there is menu for mic volume as follows. But SJ8 doesn't have it.
    >> MICROPHONE VOLUME › Sets the sensitivity of the microphone.

Regardless of the menu existence, I think this kind of setting has default value in NVM
and it is written during falshing the device. I mean normally it can't be a random value.
Hence I suspect this too lower recorded sound as a HW(mic) issue.

Please check this issue and get back.

    [Samsung Galaxy S3 Normal Volume]

    [SJ8 old Normal Volume]

    [SJ8 new Normal Volume]

    Thanks.

    P.S.
Please let me know if you can't access Youtube. So that I can send the files to you.

I have a problem with the built in mics on the SJ8 Pro for when I am recording outside and there is wind. The volume goes way down low to try to compensate for the wind noise. My SJ7 STAR has better audio normalization right now. I wish there was a way to turn off the noise cancellation as that is what seems to be the problem. I'm thinking about trying to put some type of windscreen on both mics but need to find a way of attaching it to the camera that is non-destructive. The mic for the SJ8 Pro will not help as I am often at a distance for the camera when I do a DIY video or video review.
