    Sjcam rolls out firmwares everytime without testing. And then when customers report issues they take it back. This is what has been happening for quite some time now. Lack of skilled engineering is what Sjcam!

    SJCAM sucks! IT engineers doesn´t know shit what to do. Even hackers are more qualified.

    I'm just keeping track of the sj8 pro issues. Not buying one before several issues are fixed, AND when they are (officially) available in Europe (Specially my country: the Netherlands). Mainly due to RMA's and for send/receive issues from China.

    @SiB77
    It's indeed a bad thing when hackers, who don't even own a sjcam, are delivering better software / firmware than the official programmers ...

    This is just a brainstorm dump of ideas for sjcam.
    Make a list (a work plan) with known issues on the forum, for each cam or global, and make it visible for us if it's acknowledged, being worked on, being tested and fixed dates.
    Kind of a GiT style.
    Plus, in which update it will be added. Or something like that.

    My Sjcam SJ8 Pro has had a problem since i had it. The camera wont turn on unless I remove the battery and reinsert it. This happens periodically and seems to me more prevalent when the camera has been off for a while. Its especially frustrating while scuba diving when removing the battery is obviously not a possibility. It has persisted from v1.2.0 until v1.2.6 which I'm currently using. Anyone else have this issue? Oh and the battery also swells to the point where it cannot be removed.

    Hold power for 13 seconds for reset. Now it will turn on.

    I would like to show you the problem that I have in my camera (1080P 60, FW 1.2.4, 1.2.7). When the correction is on, there is a large video distortion on the left side of the image (rolling). From up to down. I have a question for users. Is this issue in your cameras?

    Same here. You can use video editing software for correcting fisheye effect with better results.

    The best way to fight against fisheye effects is to use a rectilinear lens instead of the fisheye lens.

    I have described above the error in the software. Rectilinear and fisheye lens are two different things.

    1080p 120 is only double 60 frames,
    very low bitrate in 1080p max 18 Mb/s (Fortunately changed into nutsey mod)
    etc...
