1. Add FOV settings for photo mode. 2. More options for gyro stabilizer mode. 3. No thumbnail pic on the list of photos or videos when viewing on SJcam Apps. It's very hard to select for downloads. 4. Better wifi connection and more features on SJcam Apps. (For SJ7 Star)
I'd like a setting to rotate based on the gyro. For example, let's call it "Gyro rotate". With on and off options. When ON, you can use the camera with default rotation (0 degrees). That would allow someone to easily navigate settings and watch videos, take pictures etc. Then, when it's turned upside down, it would auto rotate by 180 degrees in order to record videos and pictures correctly. The reason for this is I need to mount the camera upside down in my chest mount unit, and I dont want to have to go into settings each time to change it. If it did it automatically based on the gyro, life would be great!
Need to have the different sounds for the start and the end of the record. Currently it is one beep. When I start the record from the remote, it is not clear whether I have started or ended the record. Because of this I have lost some good moments... The idea is to have the single beep for the start of the record and double beep for the end. Or vice versa, but these sounds should br different. The workaround I found to make sure that I am starting the record is to swith off the camera from remote (because from remote it is only possible to switch the camer off, but not on) and then switch it on with button on the camera. And then press the rec button. But this is no good.

1. Better distortion correction for camera (fisheye effect). Its so bad for example at citities, when the high bildings are bending. With gopro I have more natural feeling. 2. Wifi data transfer is terribly slow and generate abnormal heat (without case). I think its a HW limitation But that would be gret if i could copy my files without cable. Other thigs are great. Ok, I tested the camera in live, and im not so happy with the some things. Bigger issues: In addition my previous 'asks' (1. improve disortion correction* and 2. wifi is slow) - 3. Please improve the gyro stabilization, its not working very well - 4. Without the touch screen its hard to control the camera: it would be great if i could setup profiles, currently i can chage to photo OR video, with the button, but if i could set camera with 1080p, gyro etc.. and also i could chage to slow mo with 720p etc... that would be great. Now I can set only camera (standard, photo lapse, video lapse) AND photo (standard, self timer, burst). I think the best wold be if I could set anything for the 2 quick profile. The changable touch screen back door is not woking very well: I can touch but cant swype to access the quick menu. Minor issues: - 5. Heat proble: If i connect the sj7 to my computer to transfer my files it is becoming very hot (arround 40-50 C°), also while im using wifi its become so hot. - 6. The camera dont storing the dates, if I change the battery, it forget the times and dates. At least it should save the year and the months to the flash memory. - 7. Time stamp settings: I turned this off, but it somehow reactivated 2x. Very annoying, it ruined my videos. *At least please propose a SW for the correction pls. Positive: battery, colours, resolution, framerate, speed, touch screen Thx, Tomas
Can we have a different style of name for photos and timelapse or different folders for each so it's easier to distinguish between the two, also can each timelapse sequence be stored in a separate folder please?
Dear friends from SJCam. I've start using your camera after GoPro hero 3 and one of the most thing that i need in action camera is LOUD beep sound. Because when you use cam on your head, you cant even know, recording it or not. So please, if it possible, can you make a loud beep when you start recording and 2 beeps when end it. Thank you!
When the SJ7 is inside the waterproof case we loose some important functionality which is currently only accessible through the touch screen. For example there is no way to get into previewing photographs taken or videos taken. It would be a great idea to be able to cycle through camera, video, setup, photograph preview and video preview modes using a single button (e.g. setup button, power button)
When you take photographs using the SJ7 these photographs are not shown on the screen for a short duration of time. It would be great if there was an option to preview the photograph for 2-3 sec once the photograph was taken so that we know what it is that we captured. This is standard functionality on SJ4000 and M10wifi etc.
I think the SJ7 is too slow in taking photographs, the lag between pressing the shutter button and tacking the photograph is quite long.
are you working on a new fw? after 1.15? - option for Interval time Continuous - the 20 sec exposure option. - rotation video/photo directly on cam thanks
Hey guys, Long exposure on Timelapse would be very much appreciated! I think this is a function that shouldn't be missing. Taking proper timelapse pictures at night requires this combination, i.e. when photographing thunderstorms and so on. Hope to see this function around in the new update. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work!
The firmware team is still figuring this out, and will most likely be part of the next coming releases.
Make an indication when the microphone is connected!!! I bought a microphone, but when connected to the camera, the camera does not detect it. The microphone is original.
