    Hi Guys,

I have an SJ7 with FW 1.15 - when I connect it to a power sourse to charge it and select from the menu that appears the Charge option the camera shuts down completely and all LEDs turn off. This indicates that the camera is not charging in this mode. I can charge it using the other two modes (mass storage, external power)

Do you think that this is a bug with the hardware, the FW or is it something else?

    thanks for any replies.

    Lazaros.

That is strange. On 1.15 the Charge option is intended to shutdown the camera, so it just goes to charge mode. But the charging indicator lights should be on.(both red).
Where is the camera plugged into, what kind of power source?

    Hi,
    1. if I plug it to a wall charger then the camera turns on and the LEDs indicate that it is charging while staying on with no issues
    2. if I plug it to the PC then I get the menu with the three options (mass storage, ext power, charge). If I select the charge option the camera shuts down completely and the LEDs switch off too indicating that the camera is not charging.
    Any ideas?

    Lazaros.

Hi, Any ideas regarding this issue. It is very disappointing that the camera doesn't seem to work as intended.

You might want to reinstall the firmware, should work. Could be that the installed firmware doesn't get the commands, possibly got corrupted.

I have done this and it behaves exactly the same. Anything else that I can try?

If you can see a red chat icon at the bottom of this page, you can talk directly to a technical support agent, perhaps they have more experience with this.
Have you tried another cable? Preferably one that is also used for data. Maybe a simple cable change will fix it.
