Can anyone tell me why you're recording in 4k mode? What are the benefits? I always record in 1820x1080 60p or 30p mode. This is enough to watch on a 45 inch HD TV from a distance of 2-3m. For Youtube I convert in 1280x720 resolution. By the way, to edit a 4K videos you need a powerful computer and a good video editor.

Let's say that they are few reasons, like:
    - in 5/10 years you will be happy to had filmed your videos in 4k
    - When editing it is better to work in 4k, especially when you try stabilize the video (e.g. downscaling in a 1920x1080 timeline)
    - You don't need a powerful computer if you edit with the proxies files.

But of course 4k does not means better image quality. Especially in low light condition.
For my last video I worked with 4k, and it is just fine. Not great but it's ok. You can see the results here, Most of it was shooted with a SJ8 Pro.
