Pin used in the waterproof case is not rust proof.

    Just noticed the pin in the waterproof case (bottom of door) is rusting. Have used the case just once for snorkelling.

    Not a good sign.

    To clarify, how bad those pins are, could you specify, did you snorkel in the sea or in some freshwater waterbody?

    Here in Baltic Sea, the seawater salinity is rather low (1–5‰ only), but I always wash the case after using the camera at sea.

    It was sea water at Okinawa, Bise. The camera was under water for a couple of hours. Didn't wash the case afterwards.

    this shouldn't happen but at the same time you should always wash with fresh water all equipment you use in the sea.
