I am preparing for a high altitude balloon flight to capture the August 21st eclipse hitting the US. I have an array of 6 SJ5000x cameras ready to go. What is unknown to me is if the cameras will automatically adjust appropriately to give the desired exposure to capture the event. I am not sure how, or if I can make sure the exposure is not set to any stray brightness from the sun during totality and be washed out eliminating the detail of the eclipse. I have a similar series of Canon still cameras that I run CHDK on and can bracket shots. I have a feeling I am out of luck on the SJ5000x's though. Any help?
