Can anybody offer up their favourite settings for the SJ6? Mine seems to have difficulty with colour. A pink scarf looking orange for example.
In what light, artificial or natural? What is the light source? Did you try to change the White Balance setting? Some colors are difficult for certain type of sensors.
Just in daylight. I found the sensor in the 5000X elite to be a much closer representation of reality than the SJ6 which is so disappointing. What do you suggest I change the White Balance too?
If you need stronger red (less blue), then try the Cloudy. If you need less red (more blue) then select the Tungsten. If you need only slight shift towards blue, then use the Fluorescent. The Daylight is relatively neutral in the middle. Selecting custom WB is subject to taste (desirable artistic result). I can't say, that there is one correct way to select WB. It is possible, that regardless the setting, the camera can't match correct color of certain objects. For instance, many cameras have difficulties to get proper (violet) color of the liverleafs flowers, some cameras have troubles with certain red tones too. You may also try to set the Color setting into the Warm. If your phone camera can get right colors, but the SJ6, regardless the settings, can't, then you should rise a support ticket there: http://support.sjcam.com/support/home
Thanks for this - very useful! I'm interested in using it as a dash cam and i'm interested to learn which is the better setup - 2k @ 30fps, 1080p @ 60ps, or 720p @240 fps? does anyone have any views on this?
