When i am recording a video and the file size reaches 4Gb (actually about 3.6GB) then the recording is stopped and a new recording to a new file starts. Why this is happening?
The format of the card is exFAT so no problem from that.
Why there is such limitation in the camera? According to menu the limit is based on the time of recording (20min max) and not the size.

I know it may sound weird to ask, but can you confirm that the card is formatted to exFAT?
I have yet to check this myself.

    Hello Troy,

Thanks a lot for coming back to me. I formatted the card using the format option on the camera menu, also when I plug camera on the PC and select properties for the external drive( USB camera mode) it recognize it as exFAT format.
I was informed about this issue also from someone else and I wasn't sure if this is true or not. So I set the analysis to 4k60fps and then I noticed that every 5min and about 12sec a new recording file was created.
It would be great if you could look at it and lets us know if there is something that can be resolved in next firmware.

    Hi @Manolis

Formatting the card using the camera will put the filing system in FAT32.
I am still waiting for the tech team's reply at the moment. But we will have this sorted out soonest, should this be confirmed. Stay tuned.

    Thanks Troy for the info,
I just checked the format type of the card to a Linux and a windows machine and both recognized it at exFAT type.

    Alright, thank you for this.
I will be formating a card via GParted to exFAT and see if I get the same results in the output file.
Have you created a supprt ticket regarding this? It would be helpful so that there's another report will be sent to the tech guys, so it takes top priority in the development in the next firmware.

    @Troy , I have created a ticket for this issue, 39062.
    http://support.sjcam.com/helpdesk/tickets/39062
It would be perfect if it this issue could be resolved. Sj8 pro is a very powerfull product and has great potentials, currently i see 3 issues out there,
1st the low bitrates at resolutions other than 4k
2nd the double frames at 720p240fps and 1080p120fps and
3rd 4gb size limit on recording

If these are resolved i am sure it can elevate sj8 pro to an amazing product.

Thanks again troy for your support on this issue.

    Hello @Troy ,

For some reason this ticket is not any more visible under myTickets at the http://support.sjcam.com/support.
    Is it still open?

I have seen similar behavior( tickets that I have opened not to be visible any more) with many others that I have created?
    Are these closed ?
I am not able to track the progress of them.

    Thank you!
