Got some bugs to solve in next firmware:

    1) when rotate is enabled, gyro is disabled (still on in menu)

E: 4k@30fps ultra and 4k@24fps ultra has gyro selection available on menu but it is not used. Gyro should be grayed out as it is not available. No matter if rotated or not.

    2) when gyro is on and distortion correction is on there is tearing on top of video triggered by motion
    3)FOV issues in 4k (3840x2160):

24fps ultra is only wide (not super wide)
30fps ultra is ok (super wide)

24fps is medium fov (not wide)
30fps is medium fov (not wide)

    50fps is wide (ok)
    60fps is wide (ok)

Enabling gyro or distortion correction narrows FOV. Disable both for wider FOV.

    picture is for issue 2

I will post these issues in the testers lounge, however from my previous testing I've not seen the tearing that you have posted, obviousky I see your issue but I'm not entirely sure it's a bug but possibly an issue with your camera.

Can you confirm if these were the same on 1.2.4 please of have these been introduced in 1.2.6?

That's fine, I'll test tonight to confirm as I'm still on 1.2.4.

The second is definitely a FW bug, not a HW issue. But possibly not so easy to reproduce. It may need certain combination of camera shaking together with certain motion speed near (certain distance) of some fine structured object.

I fail to see how it's firmware related, surely if it is then it would effect everyone. I've not seen it on any of my videos but perhaps as you say I'm not using the exact scenario as the poster.

Can you please state what your settings were to help reproduce this issue.

As much as I understand from your posting above, then you are still on v 1.2.4. Hence can't see any FW bugs of v 1.2.6.
The bug does not effect everyone who is using v 1.2.6, because many are not using gyro together with distortion correction at all.

I was riding my DIY electric bike to nearby shop to collect mail. Camera was located on safety helmet without housing. It was pointing bit too much down. I will compile short video of tearings (look above red O letter, slow down video if needed):

4k 30fps (normal, not ultra), gyro on, distortion correction on, metering mode average, sharpness standard, file size 20, video quality fine, iso max 6400, color profile sjcam vivid, white balance auto, EV - 1/3.

Seems like the tearing happens always at 1/3 or 2/3 of the width. That sounds very much like faulty stitching algorithm.

This should be reported immediately, I'll ask them to leave the fw1.2.4 in there so people can go back to it in the mean time.

@Sulev Svilponis I sent you an email, have you seen it yet?

Reverted to 1.2.4 and tested for gyro tearing, it is still there:

    @SiB77

There is no FOV issues as reported. What you are seeing is the distortion correction coming into effect at the lower FPS. It's not available I higher FPS so the image doesn't get cropped. If you turn distortion correction off then look through the settings above you'll see the FOV doesn't change.

4k@30fps ultra and 4k@24fps ultra has gyro selection available on menu but it is not used. Gyro should be grayed out as it is not available. No matter if rotated or not.
